Service point description
The Roihuvuori Senior Centre has five group homes for long-term housing, the Vaahteramäki unit for short-term care, and the Melukylä unit for assessment and rehabilitation. At the group home Ronja, we also have places in short-term assessment and rehabilitation for those who require support in challenges related to substance abuse and mental health. Our group homes are named after Astrid Lindgren's fairy tales. The senior centre also includes the Laajasalo Service Home. At Roihuvuori, life is not restricted unnecessarily. Animal companions are also welcome here. Our permanent residents include Sankku the pony and Lola the cat. The Roihuvuori service centre organises guided free activities for pensioners living at home and for the unemployed. Our service is equal and emphasises seeing people as they are, and we invest in cooperation between generations. Our shared motto is 'You have come to the right place!' Do you want to know more about the services of senior centres? Ask for further information from Senior Info or the social instructor of the service centre.
