Service point description
Pirkkola sports park in the central park is one of the first large-scale sports facility hubs in Helsinki, which today offers exercise opportunities to more than a million visitors every year. The sports hub of Pirkkola has a Functionalist swimming and ball game hall built in the 1960s, a brand new energy-efficient ice stadium, diverse fitness and exercise facilities and facilities for a wide variety of games. Pirkkola sports park offers opportunities for many sports, such as ice skating, ice hockey, football, fitness training, skiing, volleyball, athletics, swimming, table tennis, gymnastics and badminton. Sports events: skating, hockey, football, fitness exercise, weightlifting, conditioning training, volleyball, athletics, swimming, table tennis, gymnastics, cheerleading, badminton. Services: cafeteria in the foyer of the swimming and ball games halls, meeting facilities in the swimming and ball games halls, max approx. 50 people. Pirkkola Sports Park features two parking areas on different sides of the park. The so-called ice hall parking area is located along Pirkkolantie, at Plotinrinne 1, to be exact. The so-called swimming hall parking area is located at Pirkkolan metsätie 6. The swimming hall parking area also has disabled parking.
