Service point description
The Aurora Rehabilitation Unit provides communal housing for Helsinki residents in mental health rehabilitation. The unit serves residents who need support to carry out everyday activities and to manage their condition. Rehabilitation requires commitment and patience from the residents. The unit provides a safe and calm environment in which practice the skills you need to live independently, with support provided according to your needs. Staff are available every day from 7.30 to 21.00. Night-time assistance is provided by the Aurora Housing Unit. The Aurora Rehabilitation Unit has places for 32 residents. The rooms are single or double rooms with a bathroom. We follow the principles of community care in rehabilitation so that we can support you in regaining the most independent life possible. You get to participate in daily activities, resident meetings and other group activities. Your personal carer will help you develop an individual rehabilitation plan. The unit is substance-free. A client fee is charged for your stay at the Aurora Rehabilitation Unit.
