Service point description
In spite of its name, Käpylä sports park is located not in Käpylä but in the Pasila district of Helsinki. The sports park borders on Mäkelänkatu on the east and Koskelantie on the north side of the park. In the west, the area borders on the Messukeskus site and in the south on the Helsinki Velodrome. The sports park has several grass football fields, artificial grass fields and a sand field. In winter, there is an artificial ice rink, a hockey rink and a children's football hall. The sports park is actively used for football and serves as the main stage of the Helsinki Cup every summer. To the south of the park is the Velodrome, a cycling stadium that was used at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki.
