Service point description

The Swimming Stadium is one of the most popular sports facilities in Helsinki and attracts visitors throughout the summer. It is located by excellent transport connections, only three kilometres from Helsinki city centre. In addition to various pools, the Swimming Stadium also features a diving tower, a waterslide, indoor and outdoor gyms, table tennis, and beach volley and basketball courts. The stadium's diving tower is open on a case-by-case basis. Swimming in shorts is forbidden, with the exception of swimming shorts. Using snorkels and flippers is also forbidden. The Swimming Stadium was designed by architect Jorma Järvinen and built for the 1940 Olympic Games. The Swimming Stadium is also the oldest public outdoor pool in Finland.

Sanitation: sand filter sanitation and chlorine. Other important details: A photography permit from the Sports Services is required to take photos. Please note that we do not provide information about found goods by phone; you can ask for your lost goods by visiting us on-site.

Services: large pool (50 metres), paddling pool, diving pool (4.4 metres deep), diving boards (1, 3, 5, 7.5 and 10 metres), springboards (2 x 1 m, 3 m), (The diving boards and springboards have their own opening hours.), waterslide (Price 5€. Users must know how to swim. Open at 3.6.-11.8.2024), sauna facilities in the main building, sun terrace and meeting rooms (for ca. 20 people), outdoor gym, indoor gym, table tennis facilities, mini basketball court, outdoor training site, table tennis, beach volley courts 1 and 2, and basketball court.

Make sure you have a 50 cent coin as a key deposit.
