• The route to the main entrance

  • The accessible parking space is located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking space is at least 3.6 m.

  • The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.

  • The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated and it uses movement-guiding surface material.

• The main entrance

  • The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.

  • The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.

• In the facility

  • The entrance, sports facilities and dressing rooms are located on the same floor.

  • The service point has directions to the different facilities.

  • There is an accessible toilet in the lobby or nearby public area.

• Dressing room, shower room and sauna

  • The accessible dressing room is located in connection to the men's/women's dressing rooms. The door of the dressing room opens easily manually and the doorway has a low threshold. In the dressing room, the door of the accessible section opens easily by hand.

  • The accessible dressing room features a dressing bench and sufficient room for an assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. There are no lockers in the dressing room. An accessible toilet is provided in connection to the men's/women's dressing room.

  • The shower room is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door of the shower room opens easily manually.

  • The shower room has a more spacious and accessible showering spot with a support railing.

  • The facility does not have a sauna.

• Sports facilities

  • The door of the gym opens easily by hand. Unobstructed mobility with a wheelchair or other aids is possible in the gym. The equipment can also be accessed with aids. Some of the equipment can be used from a wheelchair. The equipment is within everyone's reach (storage height 0.8-1.2 m).

  • The gym features contrast differences between the floor and wall and between the floor and equipment. There is glare in the gym.
