Service point description

The large Aurinkolahti beach with its soft sands is in Vuosaari and attracts visitors of all ages to one of the best beaches in the city. The beach is easy to reach by public transport, as the Vuosaari metro station is only a kilometre from the beach. You can check the water temperature and blue-green algae situation of the beach via the ulkoliikunta.fi map service during the summer season. Lifeguards supervise the beach during the beach season. The beach has outdoor showers, dressing rooms, toiler facilities and a café. The beach also has a fairway for light water traffic, such as canoes, kayaks and SUP boards. How to get there: The beach has a large car park nearby, as well as an accessible parking space. You can also reach the beach by public transport and city bikes.

Services: dressing rooms, showers, toilet facilities, café, ice cream kiosk, outdoor gym, SUP board rental, fairway for light water traffic, playground, small basketball/football court, padel court, slackline, beach volleyball (to be set up by the players) and a city bike parking area.
