Service point description
Our clients have been diagnosed with a memory disorder or limitation of mobility, or they may be lonely. Our Ruskopirtti team includes practical nurses and physiotherapists. Our team has a positive approach to work and acknowledges each client individually. Our activities are exercise oriented. We engage in muscle strength and balance exercises, play physical games and enjoy outdoor recreation in the nearby forest. In addition to physical exercise, we arrange various small group activities based on our clients' wishes. The activities include exercises to improve memory, reading the news, reminiscing, sing-alongs, games, relaxation and learning or upholding different manual skills. We also organise intensive rehabilitation in day activities. Day activities Ruskopirtti operates at the Itäkeskus Service Home. The Itäkeskus Service Home and Ruskopirtti are part of the Myllypuro Senior Centre.
