Service point description

At Tyynelä Group Home, we offer service housing for a total of 13 adults with developmental disabilities. Our residents occupy two distinct floors within an apartment building owned by the city. The third floor accommodates nine residents, while the street level is home to four individuals, creating a close-knit and welcoming community. Tyynelä Activity Centre is situated in the same property. Some of our residents engage in work and day activities during the weekdays, and for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, our group home offers a tranquil environment for retirees to enjoy their days, complete with outdoor activities to enjoy. Our instructors are available to provide assistance and support Mon-Fri 7.00-21.00 and Sat-Sun 8.00-20.30. We prioritise safety, with each resident equipped with a safety phone in their room, providing a direct line for assistance when needed. Additionally, we have an on-call night nurse available to visit the group home if necessary, further enhancing the security and well-being of our residents.
